About SCTC

The Strawberry Canyon Track Club is a co-ed running club that competes in road, cross country, track, and ultra events. We are open to runners of all ages and ability levels who wish to improve their racing ability. We compete locally in the Pacific Association and at select meets around the world. Though we are based in Berkeley, we have club members living throughout the Bay Area and beyond.

The club formed in the fall of 2009 when a group of UC Berkeley students, staff, and alumni merged with the Pacific Striders Running Club. This spirited bunch of athletes continued the Striders' competitive tradition in the masters and seniors divisions and quickly assembled a critical mass of talent in the open age group.

The club that exists today is a healthy and growing community of athletes with its own unique character and contribution to the Bay Area running scene. We strive to be competitive yet inclusive, fun yet focused, and consistently better.

We meet for workouts every Monday and Thursday at Edwards Stadium on the UC Berkeley campus. Workouts begin at 6:00pm, with most runners gathering to warm up around 5:30pm. Most Saturdays, we head up to Tilden, Redwood Park, or one of the Bay Area's other amazing parks. We always welcome newcomers, so please feel free to come out and join us any time (no obligation / RSVP required, though if you let us know you're coming we can keep an eye out for you)!
