The Strawberry Canyon Track Club formed in the fall of 2009 when a group of UC Berkeley students, staff, and alumni coalesced with the Pacific Striders Running Club. The club now a spirited group which welcomes newcomers to workouts held Mondays through Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. at UC Berkeley's Edwards Stadium track facility (meet at the bronze Maxwells Statue). We typically do harder workouts on Monday and Thursday, with intervals commencing at 6:00PM sharp; most of us arrive around 5:30PM to begin warming up. Tuesday and Wednesday are recovery days, from 4 to 10 miles at a relaxed pace.

On weekends, Saturday morning long runs typically occur at 8:00AM. and rotate among several East Bay and Bay Area locations. We usually meet at 8:30AM at the Kroeber Fountain, on the UC Berkeley campus across from Cafe Strada. Members also meet informally during the week for recovery runs and cross-training activities.

SCTC participates in various road, track and cross country races throughout the year, primarily through the local PAUSATF racing circuit. We hope to enter teams in most PAUSATF divisions, which include mens and womens teams in the Open, Masters (40-49), Senior (50-59), and older division. We encourage everyone to join the PAUSATF and support the racing teams at PAUSATF events!

To join the club, fill out our membership application, or just show up at a run! Club dues are $40 per year, and our snazzy singlets are $20.
