Running

The Strawberries compete mainly in the local PAUSATF XC, road, and track series, although you can find our members competing all over the world. In the first few years since we formed in 2009, we've achieved some happy results, including the 2011 XC Grand Prix team title for the club, the 2011 XC Grand Prix individual championship for member Greg Timblin, and 2011 PAUSATF Club of the Year.

For those in the Bay Area, the club conducts most of its training around the UC Berkeley campus. See our calendar for details, but roughly:

Workouts: Mondays and Thursdays at 5:30 PM at the Edwards Track. We typically do intervals on Mondays, and tempo runs either on the track or on the trails in Strawberry Canyon.
Long runs: Saturdays at 8:30 AM. Our favorite locations are the East Bay parks (Tilden, Redwood, and Chabot), but sometime we venture as far as Mt. Tamalpais and Nisene Marks. Ask to join the club email list for weekly details!
Morning runs, a.k.a. "Dawn Patrol": Tuesdays and Fridays at 6:30AM. Meet at the Edwards Track for a light run and core exercises.
